In the world of San’Sara, intelligent beasts stand at the apex of life.

Ko’Eri, the land of the Felines, is in the midst of a civil war. The Lion and Tiger are at each other’s throats once again.

Zaki, heir to the Lion Clan throne, is eager to prove himself worthy of being a pharaoh. A leader exalted alongside the legends who came before him. Mazin, ever the dark shadow to his brother’s bright glow, has set his eyes beyond Ko’Eri, let alone the Lion Clan. Not out of ambition, but for freedom from the prejudice his own clan inadvertently thrust upon him. Both are bound by duty to their clans, for duty is everything.

Pharaoh Nadiyya Aten, once an urchin in the streets of the capital, she now shares the throne of the Lion Clan. In the past change was welcome, but nearly two decades of motherhood had softened her.
