Adrian Voss never meant to fall in love with tennis.
At first, it is only a game. A racket, a ball, a court, and the strange satisfaction of knowing that every point belongs to someone.
But as Adrian grows older, tennis becomes something more. It becomes a language, an escape, a promise, and eventually an obsession. Through school, friendships, family, love, loss, and the relentless pursuit of becoming better, Adrian begins to build his life around the sport that has captured him.
There is Vivi, the pianist who sees the boy beneath the ambition. There is his family, whose love and expectations follow him onto every court. And there is Adrian himself, constantly forced to decide how much of his life he is willing to give to the game.
Because tennis does not care who you are.
It does not care about your childhood, your heartbreak, your dreams, or what you have already sacrificed. When the ball crosses the net, there is only the next point.
And Adrian intends to win it.
