Eldin has lived twenty-nine lifetimes, not one for himself. As a hero he has one mission, stop the demon before he kills the gods. But as the lives drag on, Eldin becomes bitter and angry. He keeps himself secluded knowing it's easier if he doesn’t have to face the people that will one day forget him. Then he meets Farol, a boy who brings up too many memories of the past. Eldin can’t get rid of him, and begrudgingly does what he can to protect the boy. Things though, are rarely easy. Secrets are uncovered. Games begin to change. And Eldin is scrambling to keep his footing in a world of gods and demons. It's a fight he'll never escape. But how long can a hero fight before he forgets what he was fighting for?
