The city of Deaurée is rotting away after the throes of war left it vulnerable to corruption, censure, and classist negligence. From her dressing room, opera singer Margaux Dubois believes her time has come to play the role of a lifetime and make her mark on history as the voice of change. Her dreams of revolution, however, are far removed from the crushing reality of what is needed to bring about real change. She hopes to inspire and lead from the stage, but perhaps Deaurée can only be reborn from its own ashes.
