Frequently Asked Questions

Are Campfire and Campfire Pro the same thing?

The modern version of Campfire and the retired Pro application are entirely different. Campfire Pro is our legacy software that is no longer available for sale. The modern Campfire platform, however, is available in your browser, as a desktop app, and as a mobile app, and boasts 18 writing and worldbuilding modules. You can also publish and read on Campfire today.

How can I upgrade to the Campfire platform from Campfire Pro?

If you’d like to move over to Campfire from Pro, you’ll need to first create an account on our website (if you don’t already have one). Then you can import your stories, see below!

How can I import a project from Campfire Pro into Campfire?

To import your writing projects, you must first export your project from Pro. Open the Campfire Pro app and, in the top-right drop-down menu, select the option “Export Story to Blaze.” Then, create a new project at campfirewriting.com and select “Import from Campfire Pro.”

I originally purchased Campfire Pro on Steam and am now receiving a message that I can’t access it. What is happening?

This issue is caused by a verification error on Steam’s end but can be easily resolved. Please contact our support team and we’ll help you regain access to Pro!
